question-circle Header edit and module width

7 years 10 months ago - 7 years 10 months ago #903 by Stiliyan Baltadzhiev
Hello,

How to remove the Logo and quote area at the top of my website? I want the most upper thing to be just the navigation menu for cleaner design.

Also i want to make some custom html modules with full width background image like this evernote.com/ (scroll to the "One workspace" section and below), but the template keeps resizing that background image to 1100px wich is my normal website width.

    Hello,

    If you wanna remove logo and 'quote area' Headerbar please just unpublish Modules
    or delete block-header styles/jomi/layouts/template.php
    <div id="block-header">
    	<div class="wrapper grid-block">

    		<header id="header" class="clearfix">

    			<div id="headerbar" class="clearfix">

    				<?php if ($this['modules']->count('logo')) : ?>
    				<a id="logo" href="<?php echo $this['config']->get('site_url'); ?>"><?php echo $this['modules']->render('logo'); ?></a>
    				<?php endif; ?>

    				<?php if($this['modules']->count('headerbar')) : ?>
    				<div class="left"><?php echo $this['modules']->render('headerbar'); ?></div>
    				<?php endif; ?>

    			</div>
    	</div>
    </div>

    Adding a fullscreen width position look at Bottom A1 just delete fixed and you have got full width background image.

    Thank you for the answer. I need to create several such backgrounds wich will be different with different elements in their foregrounds. How can i copy the "slideshow" position and create several new positions (for example: slideshow1, slideshow2, slideshow3) to have several different full width backgrounds?

    Go to styles/jomi/layouts/template.php
    add code and rename slideshow into "slideshow1"

    Create a new module position

    <?php if ($this['modules']->count('slideshow')) : ?>
    	<div id="block-slideshow">
    		<div class="wrapper <?php if($this['config']->get('block-slideshow')) echo 'max-width'.$this['config']->get('block-slideshow'); ?>">

    			<section id="slideshow" class="grid-block"><?php echo $this['modules']->render('slideshow', array('layout'=>$this['config']->get('slideshow'))); ?></section>

    		</div>
    	</div>
    	<?php endif; ?>

    At my site - cgravity.com/ the man is the background of a module wich in turn is in the slideshow position. There is a little top and bottom margin to keep the module from the edge of the bacground. While the top margin is useful for me, the bottom one makes the man's stomach look unnaturaly cut. I want no bottom margin for the modules i put in the slideshow position. How to remove it?
